Pos Malaysia Berhad will be issuing special stamps
and First Day Covers for the Malaysia’s Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC). They
will be on sale at all post offices and philatelic bureaus nationwide on Thursday,
July 1, 2004.
The special stamps, issued in three denominations – 30 sen, 50 sen and RM1 will
be officially launched by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Dato’ Seri Abdullah
Haji Ahmad Badawi at the KLCC Concourse on Saturday, July 3, 2004 at 2.30 pm.
For the first time, Pos Malaysia Berhad will provide stamp collectors with a
special postmark dated July 3, 2004 to commemorate the launching of the MSC stamps
by the Prime Minister. However, stamp collectors can get the special postmark
only at the Pos Malaysia Berhad booth at the MyMalaysia, MyMSC Expo, the KLCC
Concourse on Saturday, July 3, 2004.
The stamps are issued to record the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) as the ideal
choice of location for information and communication technology (ICT) for the
global innovators and investors. The MSC welcomes countries to use its highly
advanced infrastructural facilities as a global testbed for ICT applications
and a hub for their global and regional operations in Asia.
MSC’s unique competitive advantages stem from its dynamic and vibrant multilingual

Besides the stamps, Pos Malaysia Berhad is also issuing RM2 miniature sheets,
First Day Covers at 30 sen each, gift pack at RM3.50 each and folders at the
value of RM5 each.
The stamps,40 mm by 30 mm are printed in sheets of 20 by using SPM watermarked,
phosphor coated paper.
